Redtails U14's trip to Darwin for Nationals Comp 5.11.2017

The Redtails U14's team travelled via Bus to Darwin for the Nationals Comp on the 5th November 2017.

Game 1 - Redtails 4.6.30 def St Mary's 4.2.26

An incredible performance to start the carnival on with a come behind win over the Saints. Down at half time and not playing the footy we knew the lads were capable of, we thought the second half was going to be tough. The Redtails boys certainly kicked into gear with four goals to none in the second half to record  a 4 point win

Best Players were: Billy Pareroultja, Ariki Lowe, Alvin Turner.

Goal Kickers: Jayden Forbes 2, Alvin Turner 1, Ariki Lowe 1.

Game 2 - Redtails 16.1.97 Def Wanderers 0.0.0

The Redtails lads were absolutely outstanding against the Eagles who could not match them at anytime of the game. It was a team performance and the lads were certainly starting to gain momentum.

Best players were: Liam Coach, Jayden Forbes, Jim Bruce, Kostya Green, Ariki Lowe.

Goal Kickers: Jayden Forbes 4, Kostya Green 3, Jaylan Anderson 3, Jim Bruce 2,Liam Coach 2, Travis McDonald 1, Tyler Borgas 1.

In other games the Redtails went down to Essendon NGA (TIWI island) by 4 points after leading most of the game and showed class against a fast and skillful team.

In the fourth and final round robin game the young Redtails were once again back on the winners list with a convincing six goal win over the Nightcliff Tigers.

After four games the boys played for out right 3rd position against Geelong NGA (Groyte island).  It’s fair to say that after a grueling few days and playing in the heat the young Redtails ran out of steam in their final against the Geelong NGA and the final score saw the boys go down by 10 points.

There were many stand out performances through out the carnival which was supported with 8 players selected for the NT U/14 Michael long Squad. Ariki Lowe was announced as the MVP for the Redtails team and Jayden Forbes kicked over 15 goals up forward.

All the coaches were very proud of the team and the performance during the carnival and Liam Coach as Captain was an exceptional leader.
